World Bee CARE provides a variety of services to individuals, communities, and governments who wish to start or expand beekeeping endeavors throughout the world.
Cultural norms, local customs, location, ecology and the availability of resources are just some of the factors that must be taken into consideration when we embark on a project. A constant though is our goal to make the program self sustaining and profitable as measured by the requirements of the clients.
For decades, we have provided resources and training for struggling small-scale farmers in order to give them a chance to change their circumstances. But solving hunger and poverty on a global scale requires focus on sound, community-based work aligned with a long-term commitment to achieving self-reliance.
Each region of the world supports the people who live there in different ways. Recognizing this, we have developed our guiding principles, our 12 Cornerstones for just and sustainable honeybee program development, to serve as the foundation for our projects. By applying these fundamental values to each project, we are seeing significant strides in building stronger more food secure communities every year.
