World Bee CARE takes a programmatic approach where we focus on developing programs comprised of strategically connected smaller projects. This unified approach allows us to address large-scale, regional challenges by working locally. These projects are designed to empower both small and large scale beekeepers to achieve socially, economically and environmentally secure livelihoods.
Our programs can vary in size and geographic scope as they are designed to address the specific needs of a region. A program may serve an individual region or country or they may span across boarders to uplift as many folks as possible. To this end we give attention to scalability as well as the individual details to have the greatest and most lasting impact possible.
In addition, achieving holistic and sustainable impact at the global level requires broad collaboration and coordination with other development organizations with similar goals and objectives.
COMMITMENT
Through integrating local knowledge and developing lasting relationships coupled with long-term strategic planning and commitment to continued engagement we strive to achieve a sustainable impact.
COLLABORATION
To build community networks that strengthen and sustain each program, we coordinate with strategic partners, private and public entities, local governments and research institutions. When we all pull together we can accomplish and maintain great things.
COMMUNITY
All our programs have a focus on values-based training so that economically challenged, vulnerable, or developing producers become the key drivers of change in their regions fostering resilience and self-sufficiency.
Benchmarks for a project may occur simultaneously or at different times, depending on the objectives and needs of the particular community.
STAGE 1
A situation analysis and listening sessions gives clear understanding of the multiple factors, assets, risks, challenges, social dimensions, environmental factors
STAGE 2
A framework that provides a clear and precise description of the project intention, stages, and goals is developed collaboratively and agreed upon by key stakeholders.
STAGE 3
The framework is implemented including a detailed activity plan with common strategies and approaches that are required to achieve the desired results.
STAGE 4
An effective monitoring and evaluation system keeps the project on track and performing as expected.
STAGE 5
Learning from both our successes and setbacks allows us to carry that knowledge and experience into other projects so that we may improve their quality and effectiveness and achieve greater impact.
STAGE 6
Jubilation and celebrating as a community is vital to network cohesion and to the sustainability of the project. This is a moment to reflect on success and to recognize, appreciate, and celebrate the individuals who make it happen.
